November 9, 2018. Ian
Walmsley, "November 9, 1983; The Night We Almost Died".
Ian will describe how the combination of military war games, faulty
intelligence, belligerent rhetoric and human frailties almost drove one sick
man to initiate a nuclear exchange. Everyone is invited to discuss this little
known chapter in our history.

ReplyDeleteI'd like our relatively new Philosophy Club online comment and discussion Blog to get more use.
So, here [SPOILER ALERT] is a link to background information about the subject of Ian's talk. https://nicolasdezamaroczy.com/2018/09/22/did-we-almost-all-die-in-november-1983/
Love to all, Ira
Thank you Ian for your historical efforts.
ReplyDeleteIn questions and comments I asked for you to look towards future and answer with single word yes or no as to whether you think there will be a nuclear event in future.
You did NOT answer the question. Perhaps you could NOT hear me. The audio system continues to be mostly dysfunctional.
When you did not answer with a yes or no, I tried to better communicate with you. Ira did not allow that.
Could you please answer here with single word yes or no with whatever comment you wish to add?
Thanks for your efforts.
Ira, can you please get the TERRIBLE audio system fixed or replace. Such a shame to have your efforts to create communicative sessions often sabotaged with such bad audio.
